Description
This course explores incorporating auditory training into every hearing aid fitting and its potential role in reducing hearing aid returns. Participants will consider how to explain training, establish shared patient–clinician responsibilities, and support participation after fitting. The course will also address follow-up approaches for patients experiencing listening difficulties or considering a return.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion, learners will be able to:

1. Describe the role of auditory training alongside appropriately fitted hearing aids.
2. Identify communication approaches that establish expectations and encourage patient participation in auditory training.
3. Describe rehabilitation and follow-up approaches for patients experiencing listening difficulties or considering a hearing aid return.
