Wireless technologies have some limitations with instrument-to-instrument communication. Hearing instruments using Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) on the other hand require a relay for communication with mobile phones and other devices utilizing Bluetooth, but NFMI is very effective for instrument-to-instrument communication.
