Hearing Difficulty (HD) and the inability to understand speech-in-noise (SIN) are primary complaints for some 37 million people in the U.S. with sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL).

However, supra-threshold auditory complaints are experienced by an additional 26 million people who have hearing thresholds within normal limits (WNL).

This webinar, presented by Douglas L. Beck, AuD, Executive Director of Academic Sciences at Oticon Inc., will provide practical assessment and tools available to hearing healthcare providers to help manage listening problems and to solve those problems for patients.

  • Quantify the number of people in the USA with HD or SIN problems, despite thresholds WNL
  • Recite 5 possible etiologies related to normal thresholds and hearing difficulty
  • List 3 devices which improve the SNR by 5 dB or more
